TERRY SCHWARTZ
Terry Schwartz has written and produced award-winning films shown on Discovery/TLC, ESPN, PBS, STARZ,
and Lifetime TV. He co-wrote the screenplay for Sweet Home Chicago, based on Stuart Dybek's award-winning
short story "Blight". With Tom Musca (Stand and Deliver), he wrote Little Nikita, starring
Sidney Portier and River Phoenix.
With partner Bill Day, Schwartz wrote and shot Saviors of the Forest, a documentary about sustainable
forestry in the jungles of Ecuador. Saviors was shown at Sundance and won the Golden Gate Award at the
San Francisco Film Festival. Schwartz and Day also made Rubber Jungle about their journey up the Amazon
River to understand the history of rubber and the rubber tappers of Brazil. It won the Chico Mendes
Environmental Filmmaking award at the Sierra Club Film Festival.
Terry was editor and producer of Rock Is, a 23-minute film on the history of rock music for the Rock &
Roll Hall of Fame, and NASCAR: UnCut, a half hour documentary about Winston Cup drivers Jeff Gordon and
Dale Earnhart. He recently finished editing a documentary for Discovery Channel about gay parenting.
